The Internet has been around now for approx. 10 years and only recently has started to become a part of daily life. 2 years ago, to be connected to the Internet, a monthly or annual fee had to be paid to your ISP ( Internet Service Provider ). Nowadays, most companies, including some of the largest e.g. Virgin are providing Internet access for no charge. All you have to pay for is the cost of the call.
The companies state their reasons for doing this as ‘Now everyone can access the Internet, providing even more business for companies such as ourselves’.
I think that it’s great what they are doing, but too many ‘free bees’ could ruin the Internet. Watch out ISP’s!
