India are through to the ‘Super six’ thanks to a convincing victory against England at Edgbaston. India, who batted first, ended their 50 overs with a score of 232. At that time many people thought that they were a bit shy of the score they were hoping to achieve, however as England batted it became clear that 232 would be enough. England were all out for 169 in what was described as ‘a disgraceful performance’ by most fans. Not much can be said about India’s performance because it wasn’t a particularly good one, but England’s wasn’t even good enough for the World Cup.
Major changes have to be made soon if England want to be know as one of the great cricketing nations.
